Good news: I just won a 5ml bottle of BPAL Pumpkin King on eBay. I love PK with a passion.

Bad news: It cost me $130 including shipping.

Ouch.

Did I mention I love PK? And that my husband is a wonderful, wonderful man?

Captain and I realized our fourth wedding anniversary is fast approaching. There were many "Four years? No way. Really? Can't be" mumblings and several "So what do we do?" moments.

Our first wedding anniversary we were moving from the attic to the cottage. Our second found Captain preparing to ship off to Basic Training. Our third found him home for R&R and once again we were moving plus we were traveling all over OK and KS for my sister (Midget's) wedding.

In other words, this could very well be the first anniversary we might be able to do something more than just eat dinner and come home and pass out.

He has 24 hour staff duty the Sunday before our anniversary (see, the Army is trying to foil us once more) so we thought perhaps we could celebrate the weekend before and go to The Scarborough Renaissance Festival. But that brought up all sorts of questions. Do we really want to drive 3 and a half hours - most likely in garb - and then three and a half hours back (hopefully sans the evil bodice at that point)? Actually that's only about an hour more than we usually drove so... What about a hotel? Yeah, it seems we aren't the only people with that idea. Every hotel/motel I've checked is booked already. There are still several B&Bs - and since we're going for "Anniversary Celebration to make up for the last four years !!!111eleventyone!!!" a B&B wouldn't be a bad idea - but we have no clue if any of those have space either. We could suck it up and get a hotel in Dallas or Ft. Worth but I'd rather shoot for Waxahachie since big cities bother me.

Country girl. Shut up.

In other news, thanks to rewil's help I've finally managed to sort through all my BPAL and test everything. I now have a rather large list of things I don't want.

I'm willing to swap or sell, but I haven't the first clue how to go about doing that?

Would anyone on my flist be interested in some lightly tested Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab perfume? If someone is interested I'm willing to post the info here before I attempt to go through E-Bay or alchemylab.

Let me preface this with the fact that I have not ordered any perfume in a few months. Also, I have been saving up my wishlist for awhile now.

I joined a decant circle for the Descent into Maelstrom Set in the hopes that I would get an imp of each bottle (imps being like 1/32 ounce testers of perfume) so that I would know exactly what bottles from that set I would like to purchase rather than just going crazy with the credit card ("Gotta Catch Them All!"), however for various reasons my decants have not arrived after nearly two months and ordering day was upon me.

Add to that the Monster Baits (you know, bait for your monsters, to lure them out into the open). Both Closet and Underbed (and the one day offering of the sister scent Underpants which rewil was kind enough to snag for me a few weeks ago) are foody scents. I love the foody scents.

Then the news broke that the Carnival Noir Scents from last year would be making a very brief reappearance (limited quantities) before this years new Carnival Noir line came out.

Yeah, you can see where this is going.

12 bottles. All Limited Editions. All 5ml.

Two hundred dollars.

My poor credit card which hasn't seen the light of day in nearly three years? Got to come out and play, just this once.

Also, I shall be weeding out the unwanted tester imps and a few bottles that I no longer love in order to make room for the new ones so don't be surprised if I'm offering a sale later. I'm all about enabling others, you know.

I've been quiet the last week, was pretty much one of the shuffling dead and am just now starting to feel like I'm... less shuffly.

Home life is taking some getting used to again. Having someone actually in the bed with me is bad enough but Captain tends to be one of those "sneaky roll into the middle of the bed as soon as I get up to use the restroom" people lately. Which sucks because I've always been one of those people and now I've got to fight him just to hang off my side of the bed. And he has been stealing my pillows. First of all - I have roughly nine bajillion pillows on my side of the bed (or perhaps four to seven on average would be a closer estimation) including one special cuddle pillow covered in a super soft slightly fuzzy Happy Bunny pillow case that clashes with my bedding but was a gift from the Midget Sis and I lurves it. Captain has two pillows. I offered more, he refused them. Yet in his sleep my Happy Bunny pillow creeps over to his side of the bed and I wake up going "WHERE THE HELL IS MY HAPPY BUNNY?!"

Ahem.

Just sat down today and went through my BPAL imps and things and realized that I've got 45 scents I still haven't tested. And yet I want more. (That's not counting the Budding Moon order of like five or six bottles I placed last week.)

Finally getting back into RP, which is saving my sanity lately.

Will be so happy when Captain gets his own computer. We've decided that for VD day Captain and I are going to attempt to de-stink the stinky room and turn it into My Office and turn what has been my office into Captain's study/Spare bedroom. Which means I'll have to put up with stench but I'll have privacy when I write smut so that's really more important, right?
