Captain and I realized our fourth wedding anniversary is fast approaching. There were many "Four years? No way. Really? Can't be" mumblings and several "So what do we do?" moments.
Our first wedding anniversary we were moving from the attic to the cottage. Our second found Captain preparing to ship off to Basic Training. Our third found him home for R&R and once again we were moving plus we were traveling all over OK and KS for my sister (Midget's) wedding.
In other words, this could very well be the first anniversary we might be able to do something more than just eat dinner and come home and pass out.
He has 24 hour staff duty the Sunday before our anniversary (see, the Army is trying to foil us once more) so we thought perhaps we could celebrate the weekend before and go to The Scarborough Renaissance Festival. But that brought up all sorts of questions. Do we really want to drive 3 and a half hours - most likely in garb - and then three and a half hours back (hopefully sans the evil bodice at that point)? Actually that's only about an hour more than we usually drove so... What about a hotel? Yeah, it seems we aren't the only people with that idea. Every hotel/motel I've checked is booked already. There are still several B&Bs - and since we're going for "Anniversary Celebration to make up for the last four years !!!111eleventyone!!!" a B&B wouldn't be a bad idea - but we have no clue if any of those have space either. We could suck it up and get a hotel in Dallas or Ft. Worth but I'd rather shoot for Waxahachie since big cities bother me.

rewil's help I've finally managed to sort through all my BPAL and test everything. I now have a rather large list of things I don't want.
I'm willing to swap or sell, but I haven't the first clue how to go about doing that?
