Grand Guignol (Bewitching Brews) - In 1897, a new form of entertainment was presented to the people of Montmartre, Paris: the Théâtre du Grand Guignol. During the course of an evening at the theatre, one would watch several small plays, ranging from crime dramas to sexual farces, a violent, throat-ripping, eye-gouging, acid-tossing good time, which always included shock topics such as infanticide, necrophilia, insanity, murder, paranoia, vengeance and death by common household object. Our Grand Guignol perfume is a shot of sweet apricot brandy; just enough to settle your nerves after a ghoulish, gory brush with the macabre. Juicy apricots in the imp. On the skin I don't like it nearly as much. Almost sour baby powder. Rotten. Foul. Creepy. With just a hint of plasticy eww. Much much better in the imp than on the skin.
Numb (Limited Edition) - ...a singularly chilly, delectably ice-rimmed perfume. Revel in the gelid polar frostiness that is Numb... Dishwashing liquid, y'all. That's all I've got - overly perfumy dishwashing liquid. Got an imp of this on the cheap and I still think I paid too much.
Red Queen, The (Mad Tea Party) - Deep mahogany and rich, velvety woods lacquered with sweet, black-red cherries and currant. Oh, please, please let this be good. Open the imp and... There's cherry and a woody undertone. On my skin it's cherry tootsie pop at first - which I sort of liked - and then morphs to a sweet woody smell which would be quite lovely if I liked things like that. But I don't. Damn.
Shadow Witch Orchid (Rappaccini's Garden) - Orchid tubers have been used extensively by witches in their love philtres, both to promote amorous attention and the attainment of true love, and, conversely, to wither misplaced passions and sever romantic bonds. This perfume is a dusky orchid, subdued and ethereal. Sweet, musky orchid. Almost over-powering and intense. On the dry down it becomes quite nice, still heavy but low key.
