I feel bad and beautiful

It's been a busy weekend on bw_afterglow

Friday night was Draco's Stag Party and Pansy's Bachelorette Party.

Saturday was the Wedding, which was everything a Malfoy wedding should be.

And then it was off to the Reception (which is still being written at this time as there are so many threads popping up... it's an enjoyable read, I'll tell you that).

For my two characters... Saturday was a very interesting day.

A simple misunderstanding at the wedding between Gilderoy and Millicent escalates at the reception.

And after that gets sorted out Theo Nott steps in to add to the fun.

As for Myrtle? Oh... my. A mild flirtation at the wedding leads to an interesting dance.

Personally, I'm dying to find out what happens after the reception. We haven't started writing it yet and the suspense is killing me.

For the first time since September I have have finished something of more than a couple hundred words. That's right, I have a chapter out to Beta!Beck.

With any luck Chapter Two - Aftershocks of Walls of Jericho will be up by the end of the week. *Keeps fingers crossed* Unless it's utter poo, that is.

In other news, I had a hell of a good time playing Myrtle in the bw_afterglow Happy Hour thread. Just a warning - there be smut. Not Myrtle smut... seventy-odd years of virtue is hard to just get rid of you know. And she's waiting for Mr. Right. (Or Mr. Really Really OMG Hawt. Just kidding. Not really.) Myrtle got involved in a fun conversation/flirtation with former Hogwart's heartthrob Bill Weasley and her favorite lust object Harry Potter.

And of course there was the Charlie/Alicia smutathon at the bottom. Oh. My. God. That's all I'm sayin'.

I would like to preface the following link by saying that I have nothing against those who cross dress. I enjoy a good drag like the rest of them. Loved Priscilla and To Wong Fu and even Connie and Carla to a certain extent (mostly the show tunes and David Duchovny looking puppy-doggishly cute, but that's not the point).

What I'm trying to say is the views expressed by my alter ego Mr. Lockhart, aren't necessarily the same as my personal views. Just... Here, it's too hard to explain.

I would like to thank andrian1 for playing the part of Fleur and helping me laugh so hard I had tears in my eyes.

Blood work finally came back.

Type #2 Diabetes.

Was expecting it after the first test, so I've had a week to get used to it. Bad news is, the diabetes was just "hey, lookit what I found" and not the reason I went to the hospital in the first place. Those tests are still coming. Ultrasound on the third. Colonoscopy after that. More liver tests. Cholesterol is too high. Blah, blah, blah.

All I wanted was something for the pain. Dang it.

AND - my Gilderoy came home just in time to find his Milli making a date with another man. The Pastel Wonder had to stand up and be a man for once. Which is a bit odd for me to write. Not having a winky of my own, you know.

Think I've talked DH into taking me to Shogun for dinner. Jason is at the house with us so I've used him as an excuse.

It's after six in the morning and I'm still awake.

I've been up all night, RPing for bw_afterglow. Have to get up in a few hours to do it again.

And what do I have to show for it?

That's right, kiddies. My first RP'd smut. And here's the kicker. I'm playing the guy. It's all very sweet really.

It looks like we have a date firm date for Tenth Annual After-Christmas Christmas Party (which will be held before Christmas this year, due to scheduling conflicts). The Afternoon of December 18th. I'll be sending out an e-mail to verify this as soon as I can put more than two brains cells together on something besides trying to come up with ways to mention certain body parts without resorting to four letter words or disgustingly cute nicknames.

I also welcome back the lovely R2D2 Holiday icon from the classic stage production of "Santa meets Star Wars" that I played R2D2 #1 in oh so many years ago. Yes, there were more than one R2D2s, we had a large class. What's your point? I had lines, dammit. And yes, that is a salad bowl on my head.

Nap time, I think.

Have writer's block. Have been staring at the same paragraph for nearly two hours now. Have erased it, rewritten it, modified it, erased it all again, and started over several times now and still can't move past it. Am a bit annoyed.

The only writing I've really managed is for bw_afterglow. And the two characters I write for there do not make a single appearance in any of my stories. Maybe that's the problem. Maybe I've put so much effort into writing for Moaning Myrtle and Gilderoy Lockhart, I've lost touch with my other characters?

Since it's the only writing I can produce at the moment - behold Myrtle Finally Gives Up On Harry. Oh, the comedy, the drama, teh hawt sexiness. Okay, fine. It made me giggle at least.

BTW - We're always looking for new players at bw_afterglow. Now that Myrtle's finally given up on Harry, she needs someone new to play with. Don't you want to help her out?

ETA: I want icons. I demand pretty, pretty Snape Icons. Is that too much to ask? Or maybe something from the kitty/ferret/cutesy animal line? Also - it's two thirty in the morning. Maybe going to bed would be a good idea.

ETA, AGAIN: It's three forty in the morning and I've made an Icon for myself. It sucks. But it has Loki in it so there.

ETA, AGAIN: I made another one. But I have to get permission to use it first - although it's already loaded into LJ (hint, hint). Can you tell that I'm very, very bored? I hate writer's block.

Not dead. Yet.

Me, that is, not DH. I know some of you might be concerned that I had offed him in some vague homage to Goodbye, Earl after my last post and subsequent silence.

We drove to KS. I'm always tempted to say we drove 'down' to wherever I go, no matter where the location actually is in relation to where I currently am. North, South, East, West. It's all the same. And this, my friends, is why I nearly didn't pass Geography in middle school.

Anywho... went to KS. Spent Friday night playing Texas Hold 'Em. Beat everyone but Matt, had a good comeback going but he simply had more money than I did and he forced me all in one time to many.

Saturday was spent at the Ogre's Bookshelf playing games until the Gurps game started.

On the fly, our Storyteller managed to come up with one of the first story lines to ever inspire a true "scary story" feeling in me. ( And now I'm going to bore most of you to death by talking about it. )

Sunday we met rewil, beeform, sigma7, Jane't and Matt for lunch. The meal took forever, but it was nice to catch up with people.

Then MrMiah and I took left to drive back to OK.

And no one died.
