Most of you have probably heard of Harry and the Potters - and yes, I have their first two CDs and am contemplating purchasing the Christmas one.
So I'm surfing around and found that H&tPs had recorded with Draco and the Malfoys.
I was thinking "Gee, The Potters was a cute gimmic but what else can you do with it?"
Turns out there is a whole genre for this stuff. They call it Wizard Rock.
Warning - most of these links make loud noise.
The Remus Lupins, The Whomping Willows, Dobby and the House Elves, The Hermione Crookshanks Experience, The Dark Markers, The Moaning Myrtles, Huffle the Puffle, Advanced Potion-Making (which only had one song, an instrumental version of "Hedwig's Theme" that I downloaded and loved), and many more that can be found on Wizard Rock on myspace and
wizard_rock.
Yes, some of the bands are very much not good. But I sort of like a few of them.
