And the drama just keeps rolling in. Perhaps a week when I'm having some depression issues of my own wasn't the best time in the world to get involved in some rather emotional RP threads... yet I did anyway. And yes, I cried. Hormones are ebil things.
Let's start with Afterglow: Any of you who follow the RP know that Harry and Myrtle have been a couple for the last several months, the depressive ghost has had a thing for him for years and back in March or April they finally started dating.
Then along came Percy Weasley. The man hates Harry (well, Harry did sleep with Percy's wife during that unfortunate Beltane thing, and there was the fact that Susan ran to Harry when she and Percy fought) and now that Susan is in a coma after that accident, Percy was even more determined to make Harry pay. He and Severus came up with the idea to break up Myrtle and Harry. Neither particularly cared what would happen to Myrtle as long as Harry suffered.
The two found Myrtle at Hogwarts and Percy played upon her sympathies. She continued to worry about Percy and he continued to lead her into his trap.
Friday, she and Harry discussed children and Myrtle realized that Percy was right. Harry deserved children of his own, and there was no way she'd be able to give them to him. Distraught, she fled to Percy's side, seeking comfort because she knew she had to leave Harry. Percy could hardly wait to let Severus know their plan was working.
Then there's Lightning: In the last few weeks, Daphne (
are_you_daph) has been through some major upheaval. She's become the latest victim of the resident vamp, Roman Sanguini. Sanguini enthralled the woman, finding her weakness and manipulating it until Daphne was convinced he loved her. He threatened/warned her to save herself for when they could be together (well, him and her and the other two "brides", Roman's not real big on monogamy) or risk his wrath.
Which would have been fine but Daphne is "friends" with Harry Potter. Special Friends. In the sense that Harry has been trying to get into her knickers since the day he met her (Harry's a bit of a ladies man, in case you haven't been following along) and while Daphne's sex drive seems to have been kicked into high gear, she's still under that geas from Roman. But she can't really tell Harry - yes, we can neck and heavy petting is great but we can't go all the way cause my other boyfriend with the nasty fangs would kill you, kay? This led to a rather tense moment when Harry reached the edge of his patience with her and barely managed to keep from hurting her. Harry was afraid he'd ruined her trust and Daphne was afraid she'd ruined their friendship.
It didn't take long for Roman's true colors to start to emerge. Izabel was the first to realize they were in trouble. But after Harry's Halloween party, it became apparent to Daphne. Now the question is how much can they tell each other?
