Catching up

Yeah, looking back... it's been awhile since I actually posted anything more than a few sentences.

I'm too tired to try to be coherent about everything so I'll just mention things as they occur to me. This could be a long post (or a really short one if that caffeine doesn't start kicking in).

But first, I want to send you SW fans on my flist over to iharthdarth if you haven't already found it. I haven't even seen the third movie and those little cartoons almost made me tinkle. I swear. I've seen icons of these things (hello, wendynat) and I covet.

My icon *points at iconage* was made by the very talented rillathegrape. She also made the Gildy/Millie one I stole totally took with permission and have credited. And the lovely AG color bars that are gracing my info page. *coughGregandCakeOTPcough*

Also - there will be an bw_afterglow summary coming soon. I haven't done dick with the AG summary in nearly a month (bad Miah, no biscuit) and it's going to take some time to get everything together. Sneak Preview - Snape is back, Myrtle is human, Gildy is fugly, Fleur is out of Hogwarts, Albus is in, Harry's in love, Hermione and Charlie are shagging like bunnies, Dudley Dursley showed up for a surprise visit, Paraboiled Moldy Voldy Anniversary, Theo and Lee, Roger and Ali, Greg and cake.

I suddenly have a craving for frosting? Where was I?

So, yes, stuff. I haven't had a chance to mention what a great group of friends I have. When DH came home, we knew we wanted to go up to Manhappiness and say hi to the gang. Jane't organized a dinner to celebrate some birthdays and DH being home and we were so happy to see everyone again. rewil, beeform and sigma7, Jane't and her hubby, the Sister In Laws, grandpoohbah and her parents, alex_shultz, Marty, former landlady Amy,

And then we got back to Jane't's house. And yes, I am tearing up as I write this. Jane't had told everyone what had happened and there was a card from my friends at DH and I's old jobs and presents and well wishes. They donated enough money for Jane't and rewil to replace our stolen TV with a bigger and better model, our DVD and VCR were replaced with a combo thing that rocks.

I'm embarrassed to say this, but DH and I ended up with better stuff than we had. I mean, the old DVD player still had kittie pee in the bits I couldn't reach.

And that wasn't all. There was a gift certificate for lotion, pillowcases, a Happy Bunny blanket, DVDs, our old cat shaped sun catcher we'd accidentally left at our Wamego rental... just bags of stuff that people had donated.

Jane't had been telling one of her co-workers our long list of misfortunes and a frequent customer to her store over heard. He went out to his car and came back with a mixing bowl and a pair of towels to donate. Never met the man in my life.

This post is getting really long already so I'll save Midget's wedding and moving for tomorrow.

I just wanted to say thank you to all my friends, RL and those on-line and even the ones I only speak to in awkward games of LJ comment tag. I couldn't have made it through all that crap without you guys and I thank you all for that.

I'd like to again extend Sig's offer to make you a properly-colored DVD cover. We didn't mean for it to print all blue like that! Just let us know, and we'll pop one in the mail to you (a new mailing address would probably be good...)

Ohhh... I do need to get the new address out to people. Which meands i need to learn what it is.

And the blue looks pretty. But a new one would be lovely too.

I'll try to remember to get my address e-mailed around next week.

Cause if you are, I have to worn you, the spare bedroom is the stinky. Damn previous renters who make my house all smelly bad. On the bright side, I have now fixed the AC all by myself on at least one occassion so w00t for that.
