Severus (my computer, not the Potions Master) died at some point during the night/early morning.
The little light on the mother board comes on and I can tell that it wants to power up for me, it just can't.
However, I will not be denied internet access for the next however many weeks while we try to figure what's wrong and if it's fixable (also, I could afford a new computer tower for what those bastages want to charge an hour to poke around in Severus' insides). So I bought a new computer today.
It's name is Gilderoy. There are pretty, shiny, colored lights. I thought it fitting.
Hubby and I flipped a coin for it, he wanted to call the machine Oblivious1. I won. And if I had lost, I would have probably waited until he left again and then just changed it to Gilderoy anyway. And he knew it too. Actually he suggested it.
Severus' old hard drive will be moved to the new computer this week, thanks to Alex and the hubby. Hopefully I haven't lost anything.
