I finally took a few minutes to actually look at all the prescription bottles I got sent home with yesterday, since my OB decided to go ahead and hook me up with the post-baby pills to save us scrambling around after the Demon Spawn makes his appearance.
A bottle of 500 mg Tylenol, makes sense.
A bottle of 800 mg Ibuprofen... I didn't think they generally mixed those two together, but it says to stagger this with the Tylenol so I'm guessing they're going for some sort of pain relief blanket effect which I totally approve of.
Oh look, a bottle of Oxycodone. To be taken for any pain left over after taking the other two.
My first thought? Yay for chemistry!
My second thought? Oh heck no, that is not reassuring to a newbie first timer at all. So now I'm sitting here with my legs crossed and hunched over (well, as much as I can be) all "Noooopppeeee. Nope."
And this is just the normal post-baby delivering going home drug cocktail (there were others as well, but they're mostly for iron and potty issues so I didn't want to bore you all). Part of me wonders if they send home anything else should there be *cringe* tearing, or if this should cover all the bases.
