At the ER this morning and this place is packed with coughing children who refuse to cover their faces even after being told to and given a mask, whiny soldiers who have a cough and are laying across an entire bench set of seats playing with their DS, and the usual crop of military retirees (bless). Plus, they warned me when I signed in that there would be a wait due to a pair of ambulances that came in earlier. Obviously I'm okay with a wait, it's an ER and I'm not bleeding to death, having a stroke or heart attack and there are no bones poking out of my skin. Apparently some people don't understand that ERs are not truely first come, first serve. That's why they do triage, to make sure we're going to survive the wait in the chairs.
Anyway, we stupidly rolled into the hospital without eating first and now that I know I'm going to be here for hours I am starving. Captain left to get Burger King nuggets, fingers crossed he gets here before they take me to the back to No Food Land.
Anyway, today's issue is an abcess sort of thing that sprang up from a bump over a day and a half, and since I have "issues" with infections and cellulitus AND I'm 31 weeks along and really would not like to risk the threat of a staph infection on my belly... ER visit on Labor Day weekend.
Anyway, we stupidly rolled into the hospital without eating first and now that I know I'm going to be here for hours I am starving. Captain left to get Burger King nuggets, fingers crossed he gets here before they take me to the back to No Food Land.
