In practice, who knows what will actually happen.

Captain and I just spent a rather tense thirty minutes trying to make Semagic understand that I have multiple blog accounts and that I want to post to ALL of them. Okay, only three right now, but I want to post to those three AT THE SAME TIME.

Mostly because I'm too lazy to just copy/paste.

In retrospect, when you factor in my case of the dumb from all the coldmeds and the half hour of both of us looking stuff up on-line and the "Try this." "I've already -done- that, three times, grrr, why are you still talking to me?" sniping that sprang up, it probably would have just been easier to resign myself to the copying and the pasting.

However, it's too late to turn back now.

Long story short, attempting to post via Semagic.

Pushing button.

Now.

Have you set up Semagic so that you can post to all of them individually? If you are having trouble with this, here are the instructions that I used.

If you have, what you need to do to post to all simultaneously is go to journal->post to multiple->check all that apply->ok. You can't post to more than one at a time simply by using the post button in the corner.

It's definitely possible to do it.

The issue we were having is that Missmiah is the user ID here and on DW and IJ. I would log in as Missmiah (on one of the three journal services) and it would only recognize that one account and wouldn't offer any other options when I went to post to multiple.

However, we eventually figured out how to tell it how to tell the difference between the three Missmiahs, so now I can log into one and the other two appear on the list of other journals.

It was a pretty easy fix, but I still felt like an idiot because it took so long for us to figure it out.

Now I've got all three Missmiahs and the three Darnedchilds and even my silly craft journal all recognized, so I should be good to go.

Whoa, when did free accounts get to start editing comments? That and the extra icons are all I missed from my old paid account.

Yeah, the fact that you can tell it a name in the log-in screen that isn't the actual log-in name isn't exactly straight forward. If I hadn't had instructions, it would never even have occurred to me that I could use Semagic with other sites than LJ at all and I certainly wouldn't have been able to get as far as I got on my own. :) I'm glad you got it figured out. :)

The edit comment thing I think is temporary, because when they fiddled with the whole commenting interface the preview comment was either removed or broken (can't remember which). I imagine they will make edit comment paid again if/when preview comment comes back. But that's just a guess.
