Today is my birthday.
Hippo birdie twoewe me.
Yesterday one of Captain's Army peeps was kind enough to swing by and pick me up and drive me threeish hours away so I could see Captain graduate from his WLC (Warriors Leadership Course, I think) training, and then he was able to come home with us. So that was nice. We even stopped at Applebees on the way home.
Fifteen minutes after we got back, we were out the door again because it was Family Game Night at the local game store AND it was the first Tuesday of the Month which means the Board Gamers of the CSRA peeps were going to be there as well and they're fun to hang out with.
So, after three weeks spent being a hermit, I managed to interact with LOTS of people yesterday and had lots of fun.
It's kind of nice to walk into a store and have the visible owner (the other guy is sort of a silent partner-rarely in the store type) and his wife and the guy who is ALWAYS in the store (and sometimes running the register because I wasn't kidding when I say he is ALWAYS in the store) all know my name and that they make a point to say hello and ask what I've been up to every time I come in. The wife has even seen my wedding album, and Captain and I helped them clean the old store the last time they switched locations. We like these people.
Captain and I (mostly me) were planning to go out for dinner at a really, really good steak house tonight and then wander by Sephora so I can get my free birthday gift (birthday cake scent bubble bath, this year), but I woke up with a really painful backache, so I may have to cancel our plans if the ibuprofen and heating pad don't do the trick.
Finally - I reviewed ALL the things on the Exchange for the first four weeks, so I received my second round Exchange Bingo thingy!

Still no card bingo yet.
