Got up early to say goodbye to the Captain.
Made sure he had all his stuff, waited until his ride showed up and then restrained the dog, and then hugged him goodbye.
It's going to be a long few weeks.
On the plus side, I should be able to catch up on the exchange gifts I missed on Friday/Monday and so far today.
Am considering offering another prize so I can get more bingo cards, but I've got the five already and after Shiv's post on the evils of metadata, now I'm all paranoid about mailing things to the fandom. Lol.
Although I did come up with an idea that I think I could turn into a short epistolary fic complete with visual aids, if I ever have the free time. For a bingo prize, I was going to send twelve or so letters from Snape, to an "anonymouse pen pal", that would hint at little details of the growning relationship between him and Hermione. Also, I was going to include things like Snape's Chocolate Frog Card or a picture of the Hogwart's Express (taken on my vacation to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando - which, by the way, had Captain and I laughing last night because I realized that probably no one would want pictures of my vacation) or a Hogsmeade shop or the castle.
It's barely ten am, and I'm considering going back to bed now that the Captain is gone and the dog has been out (twice).
