Captain and I rolled into town around noonish yesterday, unloaded the car and promptly called the Kia dealership to schedule an appointment for the car on Monday. Then, we drove across town and picked up the Mutt, who promptly vomited all over the sofa, as he does.

Loki has not stopped yowling since we got home. I suspect he's trying to let us know how unhappy he was while we were gone. Or, he's tattling on the other two cats for something they did that I don't know about yet.

I managed to sneak in a forty minute nap and then we drove across town, again, because we had managed to forget that two weeks ago we had arranged to meet some people on Friday night in order to attempt to vanquish a minor elder god or a minion or some cultists or something. I'm still fuzzy on the details.

THEN, finally, today Captain had a chance to try to resurrect the laptop, but all his efforts were in vain.

Salazar Awesomesauce Slytherin is dead as a doornail.

After a bit of discussion and the promise of a huge favor to be named later, it was decided that after we pay for the car repair and my new glasses, we would look at getting Captain a new laptop that is marginally better than his current less-than-three-years-old model, and I will get his old laptop to replace Awesomesauce the second (not to be confused with the original Awesomesauce who passed on a year and a half ago in a tragic power cord falling outey sort of accident).

I will attempt to refrain from renaming this new to me laptop Awesomesauce the third.

Maybe.
