missmiah: (Bored Now)

Have started a new LJ for people who are interested in my writing but don't really give a rat's tushy about my person trauma de jour. *snort* Also, because I want to be able to post new chapters or drabbles or what have you, without clogging the friend's lists of people who don't want to read about Snape and Hermione or whatever nonsense I'm messing with at the moment and with oh-so-unsubtle demands for adoration. It occurs to me (upon reading this again) that I should actually give the name of the writing LJ - [livejournal.com profile] darnedchild

Colonel Brandon seems to be settling in fairly well. THe cats are still suspicious and bitter, but they confine the swatting and hissing to times when the puppy actually approaches them. Last night all three (Loki, Roswell and the Colonel) were asleep on our bed until Colonel realized he wasn't alone and began sniffing around. He wants to play so badly. Loki has the air of one who has been horribly put upon. When the puppy approaches, Loki issues a silent hiss in warning, turns to glare at me and walks off. Roswell taunts the puppy, rolling on to her back in her "look how cute and playful I am" pose and when he approaches she bounces up and swats him in the face. I don't think it helps that he gets very excited and playful and barks, which DH and I are recognizing as his attempts to lure the cats into play. The cats see it differently.

Colonel also seems to feel that the bathtub is trying to harm me in some way and he goes mad and whiny trying to defend me against it.

[livejournal.com profile] alex_shultz has sent the Colonel's first care package. I'm told it's on its way and should arrive any day.

[livejournal.com profile] cptn_oblivious deploys on the 28th (which probably means he leaves me on the 27th), so if I seem distant or moody for the next few weeks... bear with me.

I have actually been writing lately. Conservatively, I would guess that I am three or four pages into the second chapter of Walls of Jericho. The only time I feel like writing lately is when I'm in the tub, so it seems to be taking ages to finish the scene I'm working on. When DH has left, I'm sure I'll have more time to fill and will be able to get more writing done. Until then, I'm not worried about it.

Mom and Dad come down for a visit. They brought our washer and dryer with them (yea! for clean laundry and no longer having to go to the creepy laundromat). DH and I took them to Shogun. It was a busy night so the meal took nearly two hours. It was still good, though.

I've friended your writing journal, too. That way I definitely won't miss anything. lol

He wants to play so badly.

Aww. Just... awww. Poor Colonel. Here are these other two creatures who probably thinks in his puppy brain "Surely they must want to play. Doesn't everybody?" and yet... they don't. lol

For a minute there, I thought that was a euphemism.

That's WRONG!

Oh, that's wrong. Poor little puppy already having people thinking gutter-thoughts about him.

BTW, Miah, I forgot to send a brush. Do you have one for CB?

I've added your writing journal and am looking forward to seeing more of your writing! :-)
