And it's only Wednesday.

Isn't it?

As you saw in the earlier post, I had a fabulous weekend, but it was extremely tiring - probably because I didn't sleep much and what sleep I did get was not in my bed. I love my bed. It is made of awesome and rainbows, but not perky rainbows, dark and dramatic red and black and gold ones with just a hint of fuzziness on the comforter and a huge amount of pillows that I can make a nest with and the fan that blows on me and only me mwhahaha...

Why yes, I am a little tired right now, why do you ask?

Anywho, I didn't mention before, but Sunday was my sixth wedding anniversary. As per the norm my wedding anniversary is cursed in such a way that the husband and I don't usually actually spend the day together. In six years, we've had one good anniversary. I mean, we do try to make some effort but we're usually either moving, on the road, deployed, extremely sick or very very annoyed with each other when the first of June rolls around. Sometimes a combo of any of the above. This year, obviously, we spent apart and I was grateful to be out with friends and watching a movie rather than moping about at home all alone.

Monday was spent driving across the state and unpacking. I spent most of the afternoon coddling a very unhappy pair of cats and a stressed out sick dog (the vet tried to bath him, apparently that is a mortal sin in his sad little puppy eyes). Then, instead of going to bed early like my body was demanding, I stayed up until after three in the morning talking to a friend about "issues" which I think I won't go into here in a public entry.

Tuesday, I woke up and wrote a very long, very emotional letter to the MIA husband via e-mail (which he has not responded to, btw) and then found out that my uncle had passed away.

Needless to say, yesterday was a crap of a day, and again I stayed up until far too late talking to a friend about even more "issues" that had sprung up since I'd rolled out of bed.

Today I considered hiding under the covers until Saturday. Unfortunately, I have a dog who would like to be walked so he can pee once in awhile, and I had to get up.

I really, really hope the next two days are slightly better. Now, if you'll excuse me I'm going to take a very long bath with a cheesey romance novel and a pint of Ben and Jerry's.
