First - I gave Captain flowers on Sunday because A) he worked a 24 hour staff duty shift on Saturday and didn't come home until Sunday morning which mean that B) I was able to wander off with a friend all day Saturday doing whatever I wanted (which, in this case, meant going to Hobby Lobby and then stopping at Volde-Mart to print some pictures at the scan and print machine, and had to walk by the flower tables several times anyway). Hence my one chance to do something sweet (and relatively cheap) for the spouse-type-unit.
He likes getting flowers. Sometimes he's such a girl. Hee.
Second - Today I finally rolled out of bed around five thirty this afternoon (What? I didn't go to sleep until ten am, leave me alone), and realized that thanks to the wonder that is my hormonal system and its wacky inappropriate hi-jinks I was in the midst of some full blown, knock-me-out-please-god, cramping. Again, thanks Mother Nature, YOU FILTHY @$#*.
Anywho, after a long shower, I stumbled out of the bedroom to find that Captain was home from work and had been hiding in his office still in uniform rather than coming into the bedroom to change and risking waking me up. Either he was being considerate or he fears me.
In my office was a beautiful yellow rose with orange tips (seriously pretty) in a vase and a small box of Godiva chocolates.
Total love for the husband. Not enough chocolate to make me sick (sadly, our PX keeps forgetting to stock the sugar free Godiva), but just enough so that I can have one really good chocolaty bliss out moment. And did I mention the pretty rose?
Then, he pulls out the big guns.
Someone, some where, has some truly miraculous timing for he received a call at noon to swing by the PX and pick up... drumroll...
The Wii.
*ooooOOOoooooaaaAAAAoooooOOOOoooo*
I'd barely gotten my glee at actually having a box O' Wii (snerk) in my hands when he pulled out yet another wrapped gift.
One of the Sims games for the Wii. Just for me.
So, of course, we're already planning to move the dog's loveseat back into the living room to make it easier to play (our couch sits too far back for comfortable Wiimoting) and already picked up another game from the PX (Resident Evil: Umbrella Corp ... because it has zombies) and are planning to swing by the local gamestore tomorrow for a second Wiimote and maybe some other stuff.
This is the bestest Valentines/Pre-emptive Sixth and Seventh Wedding Anniversary/Captain's Birthday gift extravaganza ever.
