One of the ladies I RP with on __lightning__ recently posted on her LJ about a new endeavor she's helping mod, and I think it's a really interesting idea so I wanted to pass it along to you guys.

It's a Harry Potter RP with some twists. 1) It's only going to run for three months (October 1st through January 1st) real time, which is three days game time. 2) It's a murder mystery who-dunnit. 3) It's a mix of canon and AU (Harry isn't famous and was put into Slytherin House for one, Tom Riddle isn't Voldemort and no second war for another). But the big AU changes so far are all listed in the links on orcatiff's post.

So, if you've been thinking about applying for an RP somewhere but haven't wanted to commit yourself to something long term, you might want to look into it. Be forewarned though they do stress there shall be adult themes so 18+ only to apply and if RP'd smut/slash/femmeslash offends, it's probably not the game for you.

If I can manage to squeeze a bit more time out of my busy social calender I'm tempted to apply for a part myself.

BTW, I am in no way affiliated with this RP, nor am I getting any kind of kick back for mentioning it. I just think it's sort of cool.
