Ahathoor (Liber Resh Vel Helios - a Station of the Sun) - Hail unto Thee who art Ahathoor in Thy triumphing, even unto Thee who art Ahathoor in Thy beauty, who travellest over the heavens in thy bark at the Mid-course of the Sun. Tahuti standeth in His splendour at the prow, and Ra-Hoor abideth at the helm. Hail unto Thee from the Abodes of Morning! I believe that this is one of the Sun Scents, much like there are Lunacy Blends, I'm not sure though. It was a Frimp from an [livejournal.com profile] alchemylab transaction. In the imp - I totally know this smell, I swear. Yet I'm clueless. Got a bit of a sting. Possibly a flower of some kind? The ones that don't actually smell overly pleasant but look pretty. And a bit spicy. On the skin, mellower but still there's a bite. I'm not helpful at all I know. Also, it burns. I mean seriously. My skin hurts and I'm scrubbing it off and still there is AAAHHH BURNING. Okay, not that bad, but still unpleasant. Actually it is bad and it won't come off. GAHHHH! So - yeah, that's not only a willing to trade, it's a must get rid of.

Beaver Moon (A Little Lunacy - Limited Edition) - Traditionally, Beaver Moon is named thus for a very obvious reason: during this time of year, beavers are hard at work building their dams and preparing for the onset of winter. Because it was too hard to resist, BPAL's Beaver Moon is sillier, sleazier, and full of camp. This scent is of cheesecake and cupcakes, more in line with it's cheekier connotations, and really hasn't a damn thing to do with Luna at all! In the bottle - the slightly sour hint of cheesecake, which is nummy, and an undertone of cake product and frosted goodness. On the skin it's white cupcake and spicy bakery products. Sadly, it mellows nearly immediately on me and then all I get is a hint of cinnamon flavored gum - which is totally random. Fades to a nice sweet scent over time, with just a hint of spicy.

Sugar Cookie 2005 (Yule Scents - Limited Edition) - Affectionately nicknamed 'The Devil's Bake Sale' In the bottle - Heavy butter scent, sort of like Jack but sweeter. Leaving the bottle open in front of me I swear I can smell sprinkles, I'm not kidding. On the skin, less sweet and more - bakery item? It's sugar cookie alright. Just like I used to make with my grandmother the week before Christmas. That brings back memories, eating more decorations than went on the cookies. Sadly it fades quickly on me to a light, vaguely sugary scent - which is still good but nothing like the promise coming from the bottle. Fades quickly into a not quite sweet smell but still edible. I imagine mixing Sugar Cookie and Beaver Moon would be mouth watering after the dry down.

Water of Notre Dame (Voodoo Blends) - Brings peace to the spirit, a sense of calm and fulfillment, and attracts the aid of beneficial spirits. I admit, I totally expected to hate this. And I'm not overly fond of it by any means. In the imp it's a sharp floral. Tiniest bit of an edge to it. On my skin it's sort of wet and floral. Almost aquatic. Clean.
