[livejournal.com profile] cptn_oblivious seems to feel that I'm depressed. I admit, he has a point. I'm sleeping probably eighteen to twenty hours a day and I wake up tired (as one does when one sleeps that long) for an hour or two and then back to sleep. I've got zero enthusiasm for anything other than avoiding people, which I seem to be completely gung ho about.

Anywho - went out and got my festive Taco Bueno leftovers for Turkey Day tomorrow. While some of you shall be feasting on ginormous fowl and tatoes and pie... I shall have day old nachos and a beef burrito of tastyness. You might think I'm getting the short end of the stick, but I love Taco Bueno nachos.

The last two days I've thought about getting up and going to the 3 pm showing of GoF but that would be when the midgets are out and about and somehow the idea really doesn't appeal to me. At. All.

I hate it when the school is out and the high school or even early college kids think they are people of the world and therefore entitled to be complete and utter asshats in public. For instance, during my Hobby Lobby search the other day I passed a small herd of teen boys and the largest of the group most likely had lost a bet because as I walked past he blurted out (not unlike a talented trained goat) "I'm sexy". I saved him the embarrassment of having an overweight, unamused housewife who looked like the cat had coughed up her hair look him over and proclaim that he was sadly mistaken by moving on as if he hadn't spoken.

Contrary to popular opinion, sometimes I'm nice. Okay, usually it's more a case of being lazy but the results are the same.

I covet this. Have already begun planning my "Why I'm naughty" essay. I hope humor shall be on my side. We shall see. I promised no more BPAL orders until after Christmas (unless the December Lunacy is to die for) but this is technically from the Trading Post so that's not breaking my promise, also... guess who has the checkbook? Oh, that's right. Me. And I've been purchasing some imps from [livejournal.com profile] alchemylab and E-Bay but most of those are Christmas presents. For other people even. So they don't count. And if I throw an extra imp or two into the order, it's completely out of the goodness of my heart to make it easier for the seller.

Christmas Shopping. Right. Got the entire family except for Sis and the two generic family "white elephant" gifts bought. Have a few friends finished. I would say I am easily a third of the way if not more done. And let me just take the time to say that Amazon.com is my new bestest shopping buddy ever and packages have been arriving at my door in a steady stream for the last few weeks and that the shipping plan I'm on rocks my socks! Thank you again, you know who you are!

Since you all were such huge helps with the Knitting thing and had great ideas for Sis (that I'm still totally looking into) I shall ask for ideas for the white elephants.

The first one is $20 and should have a slightly more conservative tone. The second is the one I usually have fun with and it can go up to $25. In the past I've hand painted pink flamingo's green with teal highlights for sort of a fun alien flamingo look (my parents ended up with that, probably out of kindness for the rest of the extended family), hand painted a pair of lawn gnomes (again, mom got those) but not the demon gnome paint job - see pic at bottom cause I'm in that kind of mood today, a hand made gumball machine, paint by numbers kits, a pair of Make Your Own Giant Killer Insects Attacking Tiny People Dioramas from the old Classic Atomic Monster Movies Kits, things like that... Something fun is what I'm looking for here. Something I wouldn't mind getting stuck with. Those killer bugs are painted up and hiding in a box around the house somewhere.

Notice the flames in the eyes? The pointy teeth? The bloody axe? Yeah, I'm weird. The guy I made it for as a Christmas Gift seemed to like it.
