Went to bed early. Well, early for me which is not so much with the early really as it was 6 am, but it was earlier than the day before which was 11 am.
Anyway, sleeping for three hours and then getting dragged out of bed by the dog because the cats knocked over his babygate (which he is deathly afraid of for reasons I really don't understand) and he has cornered himself in the bathtub on top of all his toys and is howling because he has to pee and can not even get to his stuffed pumpkin because it was too close to the demonic babygate is not the best alarm clock ever.
So I put him outside where he can do outdoor doggy things in his dog run to his little heart's content and go back to sleep.
For two minutes. Because I remember it's garbage day and I missed the last two garbage days and I actually have some trash today.
So back out of bed, dressed and drag the garbage out. Then chase down the male cat who managed to sneak out behind me in my zombie state and was attempting to do his own version of Born Free. Did I mention the highway I live on? The one I am positive I'm going to lose an animal too someday?
Today, thankfully, was not that day. Cat is back in house and chastized. Garbage is on the sidewalk. Dog is in the kennel. And I am going back to bed.
Night.
