Today was better than yesterday (but not as good as tomorrow?)

Went to the Japanese Steakhouse. Fun, fun, fun. Kept being asked if it was my 21st birthday (in that "We know you really aren't 21, but it makes you giggle and we end up with a better tip" kind of way) and kept saying "That works."

Much egg tossing, flames, bad puns, and general mayhem.

Also, PRESENTS!

Had presents for sigma7 who's B-Day is not far from mine.

And then - PRESENTS FOR ME!!!!

Cause I'm an Attention Hor.

rewil gave me the Uber Ultimate Kick Hinney Four Disc Set of Dawn of the Dead, the original not the remake. Tom Savini is da' bomb.

sigma7 and beeform hooked me up with all sorts of kicky stuff, including a Happy Bunny license plate. Which has already found it's way into my back window.

Jane't fueled my Snape obsession.

K and J (and C) continued to taunt me with the mysterious "Gift" that they have been working on since July and that every other person I've ever met seems to know about.

alex_shultz clued me in on the present that will be arriving via DHL mail delivery at some point this week.

And - Jane't gave me a card... from DH. He called her up and had her write out a card for me so that he wouldn't miss my birthday. Made me cry. Sweet little buttmonkey.

Also, Alex installed my brand new video card. Now, all I need is more RAM and Sim2 goodness shall be mine!

Gift is ordered and presumably will be shipped out tomorrow. And also, I have a 256MB stick of PC2100 RAM if you want it. Ask Alex if that'll work.

Unfortunately, it has to be PC2700+. If you go to Crucial and look up the Dell Dimension 2400 series you can see what kind of RAM is usable in there. Miah currently has 256MB (the "minimum" for XP) but I'm not sure on the CL rating. I have an extra 512MB at CL2.5 to go in there. That will fill up both slots. With the video card (had to go PCI - those Dell cheapos couldn't even bother to solder in the AGP connecter!) she should be able to use all the RAM for main memory instead of sharing it with the onboard video card. If you can find another 512MB (or better?) we can replace the 256MB that's in there (only two slots). Then Miah could be sitting an a Gig of RAM. One of those things that sounds dirty but isn't.

And that's pretty much the extent of my skillz. Although I did learn how to defrag the hard drive. *takes a bow at the sound of stunned gasps and applause*
