Yesterday (or technically this morning) I stayed up until four am working on my PSE project.
I ended up with six different versions. I narrowed it down to two and then went to bed. When I was once again able to move around the house without looking like an extra from the Land of the Dead (which I desperately want to see, but not desperately enough to actually leave the house and go to the theatre by myself) I pinged anyone on my IM list who was on at the moment and asked their opinion.
The results can be found here on Afterglow's info page. I'm still not happy with it. And I need add an entirely new frame at some point because I didn't have any icons to gank for three new character journals. And there were one or two that I wanted to add in that I just didn't have room for last night. I'm also considering making all the pb icons greyscale for uniformity.
I also cleaned most of my house today. In the since that I stacked a lot of boxes up in the dining room and then vacuumed, swept and dusted. I discovered the yellow tint I had assumed was permanent in the bottom of my kitchen sink (with it's rusty drain of ewwness) does come off if one scrubs hard enough with Comet. The carpet is a mess, but it was a mess when I moved in so none of the damage is mine. The carpet in the dog's room is being torn up by the dog, but since that is also the carpet that reeks of cat piss... I don't particularly care. Ideally I would find a cheap area rug and just cover the entire room (it's the small bedroom); however, cheap and area rug never seem to go together around here.
I also reinstalled all three towel racks in both bathrooms. The asshat who put them in the first (four) time(s) didn't bother using one of those little rubber doohickeys and just put the screw in the plaster. Which never works. I am completely and utterly hopeless with the home repair/domestic scene and I know that. Idiots. The towel bars wouldn't even hold up my wash cloth without coming loose from the wall. So I did what any person would have done when it was too late to go to the store for rubber doohickeys, I used TP. The screws are all holding for now.

Tomorrow (tonight) there will be sushi. And Hibachi steak and shrimp. And flames. Yay, house guest!
