It's another dual post night, I think. One public, one f-lock.
On the public side - Was informed that I was very close to securing the library job (in the top two, actually) but it went to someone with more experience with children. Since I had a sleeping child plastered across my chest at the time of the phone call, the irony of the situation was a bit... upsetting.
Stopped by the store today, whilst watching the baby. Ended up ringing up customers while L looked for the last of my Avon order for me, with one hand on the register and the other rocking the baby's stroller so that she wouldn't get too restless. Also answered questions for one the VP's about the postman and trying to get the store's pick-up time moved to later in the day (something I was working on before I left). All I really wanted was some K-State purple paint for the lawn gnome I'm working on.
beeform, do not be surprised if I call you sometime in the next week or three about the vacuum thing. But first, I must con convince someone to completely take care of help me with the spider problem here at the house.
They have webbed over my mailbox. Literally. And tonight, one of them (a large one) sat there in the dark, waiting for me to reach for the mail. It jumped at me. However, years of arachnophobic reflexes kicked in and I was able to skillfully sidestep the leaping menace. This time.
