It's hard to believe the
sshg_exchange has been going on for six weeks already. It's also hard to believe that I have reviewed EVERY chapter of EVERY gift in those six weeks.

WOOT!!!
Also, I typed up the handwritten garbles that was most of a scene of the latest WIP-I'll-eventually-abandon. Then almost had to retype all of them because the power flickered long enough to turn the computer off, but I apparently have autosave on this thing or something, so yay for that.
Tonight, Captain and I went to the game store and sat around playing Dominion Intrigue and looking at the co-store owner's wife's wedding album (Although I guess that would also be the co-store owner's wedding album, wouldn't it?) because I'd shown her mine a few weeks ago. What? She asked and I'm all about showing off ridiculous pictures of the Captain and myself dressed up funny.
Also, I can't remember if I mentioned this before, but Saturday Captain and I got up before dawn and drove out to a big field on base to help the store ownery type people set up a tent and some tables full of stuff from the store that they really wanted to get rid of at the Flea Market that day. Then we loaned them some chairs that I just happened to have asked Captain to put in the trunk because I am psychic (or psychotic, or both). And then, because I had nothing better to do until later that afternoon, I volunteered Captain and I to hang out helping them sell junk all morning.
It was fun. It almost makes me miss working retail. ("Everything is half price today!")
Sadly, we did not find anything fabulous at the Flea Market. I did get a free breakfast burrito for helping out, and I bought an apron from Mrs Store Owner for a dollar so that I can maybe not get flour all over myself next time I have to roll out biscuits. They gave Captain (and me, but I already had my apron so I didn't need anything else) a chance to pick something off one of the tables, so he got a free mini that he'd been eyeing since we set up the tables.
When we showed up to play a game tonight, they gave us a thank you card which was very sweet. Also, they gave us a gift card for a food place named after some cheese, so how can it not be awesome?
And now? I'm burping wasabi and suspect sushi from dinner, so I need to go brush my teeth and gargle. Badly.
