They have sucked, so very much bad.

So Monday I woke up with the beginnings of the creepy, creepy Cellulitis on my leg. Promptly freaked out and ended up at the ER. Got home after midnight and started taking my antibiotics and Tylenol every six hours like a good girl, etc.

Tuesday, my leg starts to hurt worse, the Cellulitis seems to be spreading and getting even more creepy and I start to feel like I'm burning up.

The ER gave me instructions not to come back unless my temp was over 100.5 or the cootie spread A LOT.

When I woke up at midnight to take the next round of meds, the cootie was double in size and my temp was 102.

I was light headed, scared and not thinking clearly.

Instead of doing the smart thing and calling an ambulance, I got in my car at midnight and drove all the way across town to base to go the ER again, by myself.

During the sign-in, my fever broke and by the time they got me back to a room, everything I was wearing was soaked through.

They attempted to give me another IV, and while they could get a vein to hold out long enough to do blood work, they ended up blowing out two veins trying to get the IV in and gave up. One doctor came in to let me know they were considering admitting me to the hospital, but they eventually let me go around four thirty this morning.

I got home and was able to get three hours of sleep before I had to go back to the hospital for my follow up doctor's appointment from Monday's ER visit.

My appointment was at 10 am, and I didn't get home until after one because they wanted a third round of blood work, urine samples, etc. I did, finally, get to eat something, the first thing I'd been able to eat since Monday, but it was only half of a bagel.

tl;dr - Ended up at the ER two nights in a row. Fever of 102. Three rounds of blood work. Two different antibiotics at the same time. No sleep and half a bagel.

Good gawd. You'd think they'd at least give you a liiiittle something to help you sleep. Or at least be entertaining.

Hope this is the worst of it, at least. You could use a bit of leniency from those cold capricious fates.

Drove yourself! Clearly you come from what my grandmother proudly refers to as Pioneer Stock.

I'm glad you seem to have crested the hill of this illness.
