Just informed Beta!Beck that I have finished chapter six of Walls of Jericho! That would be the chapter I've been "working on" since January of '08.
Yeah, I'm hanging my head in shame.
It's my last official WIP and most of the time I just liked to pretend it didn't exist because I hate leaving things half-finished. I believe I first posted chapter one sometime in 2004?
Anywho, according to my much revised outline, there are only four more chapters to write and then it will be over and done with (I like to keep my fics short, and ten chapters is a nice round number to tell a story in), but I'm not terribly good with following my outline, so we shall see.
I'm trying to decide if I should sit on the new finished chapter until the entire story is done, or if I should attempt to post it once it's been beta'd? I don't want to have another three years between now and the next chapter, that's for sure.
In other news, it snowed here. Several inches. I haven't left my house - other than when Colonel Brandon needs a potty break - since Sunday. I'm just waiting until everything is nice and melted and back to normal before I head back into the city to pick up pet meds at the vet. Perhaps tomorrow.

I bet it won't! Be another three years that is. Because... there aren't any more books coming out. Your mind has absorbed the new "canon," thrown out what it can't and won't use, so I bet you have no problems from now on finishing it. ;)
