As promised, below the cut are pics of the dog after his haircut.
This is Colonel Brandon when he still had hair (and just after a bath so he's actually almost clean and shiny for once).
And this is the dog now.
My husband is still laughing at the dog. Apparently, without all that fur, Brandon's head is too small for his big, round body so Captain thinks he's hilarious looking. Poor little stubby legged tank dog.

Even Loki appears to be mocking him.

Brandon was so dejected the day he came home from the groomer, I think he knows he looks silly. I didn't realize just how round and sausage like he was until the latest haircut.
On the other hand, with short hair he's easier to brush and doesn't get tangles and matted fur, so it's a toss up on letting him grow it out again or not.
