Since we're going to be on the road for the actual holiday Captain and I decided to open our Christmas presents to each other tonight during the Survivor finale. What? That's festive.
Anywho - Captain loves his scarf and is less thrilled to have received perfume but I'd told him he was getting it and let him smell it before hand and I also reminded him that I spent a very long time knitting his bajillion foot long scarf so I'd rather he not complain when I wanted to give him something to make him smell a little less like he just came home from the field once in awhile... also there were some computer games that he wanted. So it was an overall win for him.
The cats seem to like their new jungle gym, the dog is pleased with his brand new squeaky squirrels and floppy disk thing that is already covered in slobber.
And me? I got some toys (more Cubeworld people and an iDog), a DVD, and... my original wedding ring back.
Technically it's not the same ring that went missingwas stolen by the movers but it's a copy in a size smaller since I've lost a bit of weight since the wedding. It's so shiny and pretty and I'm scared to take it out of the box. This is technically my fourth wedding ring (out of four years of marriage) and the third one to look like this. The first one broke the first month and was replaced, the second mysteriously disappeared out of its box (yes, I'm still bitter, I will always be bitter) and now this one. So you can see how I'm a bit paranoid about it. I'm going to keep wearing the silver band I have now for everyday wear and only wear the pretty one on special occasions I think.
On that note, I'm still waiting on one last gift that I ordered for someone and I hope it gets here before we leave for Manhappiness. I did go buy a sort of back-up "yes, I know this one sucks but your real present is in the mail" gift yesterday just in case. So - person who may or may not be getting that gift on Friday at the party - is not my fault! I ordered it a long time ago but the shipping is slooowwww.

I just saw an icon that you made on someone else's LJ (this one (http://www.livejournal.com/userpic/29092330/5179375) - the Snape Teapot/Sugar Bowl one, if the image link doesn't work), and I was wondering if you'd allow me to use it as well. It's absolutely adorable! I would (of course) credit you in the keywords. Please let me know, either way? Thanks so much!

If you don't mind me asking, where did you see it?

And I definitely don't mind you asking! You see, I've been working on a paper about the Harry Potter series and how they've been adapted into films, and so I was reading some old reviews of PoA & etc, and someone with your icon had commented to one of the posted reviews. So, I checked out their icon information, which credited you, and came on by to request permission. :)
Thanks again!
