Fruit Moon (A Little Lunacy - Limited Edition) - The bountiful, bright and vivacious prelude to the Harvest. A horde of wet, ripe fruits: green apple, apricot, blackberry, black cherry, black and red currants, cantaloupe, English pear, guava, lemon and lime, orange, mandarin orange, kiwi and mango, passion fruit, papaya, Georgia peach, raspberry, plum, tangerine, pomegranate and strawberry over a luminous blend of lunar oils. At first I didn't like this at all. The fruits that stand to me are the one's I'm not found of: melons, currants, blackberry and pomegranate. It really is very wet and ripe. A luscious sweetness that makes you think of an extremely juicy piece of fruit. I think it's a little too busy for me, too much going on and my nose can't pick out one note to appreciate. Rating - M/N
Kabuki (Love Potions) - Compelling, complex, and utterly enigmatic: a luxuriant, exotic blend of cherry, red musk, and star anise. In the bottle it's totally cherry cough syrup. The second it's on my skin it's bitter almond - which I love. And then after a few seconds it morphs into a bit of black licorice (the anise, I imagine)- which I hate. After a bit it's total black licoricey gumdrop - which I hate so very, very much. If you like black gumdrops this is the scent for you. But not for me.
Queen Mab (Excolo) - Warrior, Trickster and Goddess of Magic and Poets, she is one of the Tuatha De Danaan and the Queen of the Faeries. A very complex scent, both shadowy and fierce: black orchid, sandalwood, night-blooming jasmine, osmanthus, Somalian rose, and Chinese musk. Just a hint of sweet floral in the imp. On my skin it's musky rose, and something just a little bit sharp. Orchid and jasmine combine until it's almost too... something.
Snow Bunny (Yule 2005 - Limited Edition) - Soft white powder snow with a touch of youthful girlie perfume. Sweet, almost bubblegummy. Don't get any kind of snow at all. Almost an o-zoney hint.
