Still no BPAL reviews because I forgot. Again.

hrhjahi mentioned that my present should be arriving any day now so I wandered out to the mailbox to see if it was in.
It wasn't. Oddly enough what I thought was his present was actually my copies of Andy Warhol's Dracula and Frankenstein which shouldn't have been here until the 15th according to Amazon.com's shipping info. Weird.
Also in the mail? Legal papers naming me as the formerly unknown tenant and new defendant in the debt collection/foreclosure proceedings on the house I was renting up until we received intent to foreclose upon it back in May. You all remember, the one that was broken into and that I moved out of around the first of June. Yeah, that one. The Realtor (who I trust as far as I can throw them and considering the staff there isn't far) insists that it's just paperwork saying I need to move out (of the house I've been out of since June 1st).
However it doesn't say that. It says that I am a defendant and that said Defendants are hereby adjudged to be in default, and the allegations of the Plaintiff's Petition are taken as true and confessed against said Defendants. It does say (as far as I can tell since I don't read legalize) that I can not claim any right, title, equity or interest in or to said real estate therein described... (which is fine since I don't live there and was a renter and by law couldn't do any of that in the first place). It names me again as the Defendant, Unknown Tenant of blah blah blah. The house and land will be sold and if proceeds of said sale be insufficient to pay the Plaintiff's Judgment, Plaintif may, within ninety days of said sale, apply for leave to enter a deficiency Judgement against such Defendants against whom a personal Judgement is hereinabove set forth...
Someone care to tell me if that really says if they don't get enough money from the sale they can sue the named Defendants (of which, apparently, I am one) for more?
To add salt to the wound - two of the four bills I mailed out on Monday came back without stamps today. So there are two more out there, just waiting around to be late. Lovely.
That's my great birthday so far.
