Just got a call from our cell phone provider. Since I spent a good chunk of February in KS, I paid the bills in two chunks: Those I received before I left, and those I received after I came back.

The second set didn't get paid until two days ago. I know, I suck. Deal.

So the cell phone people call to ask where their two hundred dollar check is, which is fine, because that is a lot of money and I would be a bit antsy about it myself.

However, they asked to speak to DH. His name is the primary on the account, so that's understandable.

I told them he was in Iraq, I was his wife, what could I do for them?

Where'sMyMoney?: Please tell him to dial ### on his mobile unit so that we can speak to him.

Me: He's in IRAQ. Since I answered the mobile unit in question, there's a really good chance he doesn't have it. I'm his wife. What can I help you with?

Where'sMyMoney?: He can't call us back?

What, you didn't offer to mail him the phone so he could call them right away? :-P

Sheesh, were they totally not hearing what you were saying? *rolls eyes*

~falls over laughing~ With that mentality, it's possible that they could be convinced that you'd already sent them the money. LOL

I'm with rewil, you should've offered to mail him the phone so they could talk to him, then he could settle things and send them a check. "A three month wait is ok for you right? Because it's so important to talk to him that it will be ok to wait to pay until after right?" Dumbass people always get jobs in customer service...why is that?
