Really, it all started with this weird urge to get Lego!Snape's classroom and then get any old set with Lego!Hermione so that I could build a creepy little Lego shrine/scene to SS/HG. Mainly it was going to be something I would use to annoy the DH and to squick out a few non SS/HG friends. I have an odd sense of humor. I admit this.

Lego!Hermione proved to be elusive, however. The only set I could find in the store at the time was the Forbidden Corridor which did come with Hermione, but also had Harry and Ron. Then I discovered that Lego!Harry's head fit inside Fluffy's mouths and Lego!Ron looked so adorable caught up in the Devil's Snare. I had to go back and get Aragog In the Dark Forest so that I could torment the two of them with the giant spider.

What? Doesn't everyone do that?

DH even bought me Lupin's Classroom for our anniversary last year so that I could have Lego!Snape in a dress.

Anyway, out of 34 official sets that I can find record of, I have 20. That's not counting this year's release for Goblet of Fire. I think at least half of the last fourteen are small sets, most from POA. But several of them are rather large sets (or hard to find) and therefore horribly expensive.

LOL - thank you for find all of those.

Now if only I had the money to spend. Soon, very soon, all the preciouses will be mine.

hehe. No problem -- just go to eBay and search on [lego +"harry potter"] and the preciouses will scroll across your screen ...

14+ pages, at last count.

And there is a frightening repository of Lego resources online, including but certainly not limited to....

LUGNET (a good centralized resource for all things Lego)
Brickshelf (both pictures and scans of instructions)
Peeron (set/part inventories)
Bricklink (whether it's a better resource than eBay I dunno, but it's certainly more specialized)

Hope this helps. Hell, if you're bored, the "random gallery" option on Brickshelf keeps me busy for hours on end....

LMAO! Damn, now I'm going to have to go to Toys 'R Us or something and look for sets instead of half heartidly looking whenever I'm at Wally World. They never have them, not even at Xmas.

I can tell you at the moment all the Wally World's have pulled the HP Legos off the regular priced shelves, probably to get ready for this year's Goblet of Fire releases. Or it might have something to do with them not selling as well as Volde-Mart had hoped.

The best place to find them at WW is in the toy clearance area. In the last month I have found the Second Hogwarts Castle (the one with the clock) for half off and the re-release of Hagrid's Hut (Which I can never look at without hearing "Lookit. Hermione comes in Hagrid's Hut!" "I bet she does." cause my friends and I? Are twelve.) for $15.
