Kodo the ferret died early this evening.

It's the first time in a decade that there is not a ferret in my house.

She'd been sick, so her death was not unexpected.

Not right now, at least. I'm keeping the cage because I think I'd like to have another pair someday.

But for now, I've got the new puppy to worry about. He saw me crying earlier and curled up on top of my feet and fell asleep. Little snoring, drooling thing.

I'm SO sorry to hear the news about Kodo (I hadn't heard he was ill).

He's supposed to be a Lhasa Apso pup, but he was a pound puppy so I'm sure there's probably a little something else in there as well. The vet said he's large for his age so that might be a sign of another breed. He's very Lhasa-y though.
