I've spent the last few days actually working on my latest scrapbook project - the album for the Russia trip of '93. I haven't made much progress, but the fact that I've been able to sit at my desk and actually do something other than stare at a computer screen and want to take a nap is a huge thing to me.
Speaking of staring at the computer screen, only this time in a good way, I finally sat down and started to read Acquittal by coffeeonthepatio on ffn. Normally I avoid ffn like the plague, but I've seen some pretty good reviews from people I respect, so I put it on my "to read when I felt human again" list. So far I'm only up to chapter 37 out of the 64 that Coffee has posted (she seems to be putting out new chapters on a fairly rapid basis, almost daily even) and while there are some typos and grammar issues - a LOT of typos and grammar issues - and one or two minor other things that made me go "Who did the what now?" on the whole I find the story sweet and engaging. A slow build up that starts with a student and teacher who become friends and eventually (I hope, like I said, only up to 37) fall in love in a believable, emotional way. Based on what I've read, I would recommend this to any SS/HG shipper.
