As of 3:45 this morning, I am all caught up on reading and reviewing gifts for the SS/HG exchange. Finally.

I did much better than last year when I some how managed to get behind by nearly 80 gifts, and there were less than a dozen on my "Get to when you have the time" list when after I finished my fic.

In coinciding news, I've been knitting something new and the first part of it (it has two separate bits) is very nearly complete. It would probably all be done by now, but I've been reading exchange fics while I knit - two birds, one stone - and I kept getting distracted.

In other - less coinciding - news, I also finished re-reading the first five chapters of Walls of Jericho and the first half of chapter six, which I believe has pretty much been sitting, abandoned, for over a year. It really is time to finish that thing and move on. My first instinct is to take the outline and finish all of the remaining chapters and THEN send it off to the archives, but I know there is a good chance I'll get all antsy and want to send them in as I finish them, which is how there ended up being at least thirteen months between the last update and today.

My muse? She packed up and buggered off for a long time, and I've finally just recovered the urge to write anything, much less return to long abandoned WIPs. Still, if I finish it, it is one less thing hanging over my head later. I'd like to finish Walls and write that epilogue to Fun and Games that I never got around to, before I concentrate on some original fiction for awhile.
