8:00 AM - Wake up to Garbage on the alarm. Stumble blindly across the room and smash snooze button.

8:07 AM - Garbage. Snooze.

8:15 AM - Shirley Manson thinks she's paranoid and I'm awake. Technically. Do bathroom things, including brush teeth and stare at bedhair long enough to twist it up and shove a clip into it. Call it good.

8:20 AM - Can't remember if vet opened at 8 or 8:30. Decide to call anyway. Make appointment for remaining two cats.

8:30 AM - Dress quickly and leash dog to take him outside for his morning wee. Make it to the door before cats knock something over and have to pick it up quickly to keep dog from eating it.

8:45 AM - Take dog out for morning wee. Request aid for ten thirty vet visit via text messaging. Receive confirmation of aid.

9:00 AM - Realize have fallen asleep standing up and dog still hasn't gone wee. Drag us both back inside. Drag two cat crates into living room and leave open on the floor in a sad effort to lull cats into a false sense of security.

9:05 AM - MED TIME! Brandon gets two pills, both shoved into some pill pockets which smell revolting, but are puppy tasty. Bella gets 1 ml of something white and vaguely bubble gum smelling. Loki gets 1 ml of his anti-depressant, again, in a futile effort to ease the upcoming cat crate fiasco that I am sure will occur.

9:10 AM - Have finally cornered Loki and administered medication. Loki immediately sprays cat crate. Of course he does.

9:15 AM - Set down at table to eat Jimmy Dean Breakfast Bowl. Dog is drooling on my lap. Sooo not happening dog.

ETA: 10:45 AM - Have finished Roswell's exam with minimum of fuss. Set Loki's carrier on exam table and the big guns come out. Enter vet tech with thick gloves and a towel. How many people does it take to restrain one cat? There were four of us in the room. Two of us ended up bleeding.

Exam completed, shot administered, discussion held about the pros and cons of removing Loki's back claws (he's already had the front ones removed, yes, I know, I'm a horrible person). My vet, who is seriously an animal person and not a people person, summed it up thusly - "It's for his own good. The more we have to restrain him, the more likely he'll get hurt." The vet, btw, was not one of the two bleeders - that would be the vet tech and myself. We compared Loki scars.
