Got a call from my mom, the car? Is totaled.
The insurance company has made an offer(? or whatever the term is) and it sounds like a good one, but that still leaves us short a car for the moment. Nothing is definite yet but it sounds like it's going to be a race to see what happens first - replacing the car or running out of time with the rental car.
We're also not allowed to get our stuff out of the car in person because we're not the owners, but the company mom is going to sign the broken car over to has graciously offered to mail our stuff to someone. So there is that.
I have my follow up doctor's appt. this afternoon to make sure I'm fine (which I'm pretty sure I am) and nothing is wrong that I'm not noticing.
Captain insists he's been fine from the start so that is a blessing. Also, before we arranged for a rental car he had some Army friends who were taking him where he needed to be and even took our dog to his vet appt. That's friendship, right there.
