Blood Countess (Diabolus) - Elizabeth Báthory, also called Erzsébet Báthory in Hungarian and Alžbeta Bátoriová-Nádašdy in Slovak, was the Bloody Lady of Hungary. In order to preserve her youth and loveliness, the brutal and incomparably savage countess captured, tortured and slaughtered innumerable young women and bathed in their blood as part of her beauty regimen. Ah, vanity. Corrupted black plum, smoky opium and crumbling dead roses covered by a deceptive veil of Hungarian lilac, white gardenia and wild berry. Having the word Blood in the name totally made me suspect it would be from the same family as almost all the other Blood-themed scents. And I was totally wrong. In the imp - plum and gardenia, oh so nummy. On the skin the lilac pops. This is complex and gorgeous. This more than makes up for Catherine and the sadness of a really cool name/concept lost on a meh (for me) scent. Sadly it all blends in quickly and the individual notes merge. It's not bad by any means and I think I might consider picking up a 5ml of it, but it's not quite as good as it was.

Flower Moon (A Little Lunacy - Limited Edition) - May marks the apex of the year’s fertility, expresses the reawakening of the sexuality of the Earth and her inhabitants, and May’s full moon celebrates both the fecundity of the creatures and flora of this world and the vibrancy, rejuvenation and life-affirming energy of Spring. Flower Moon embodies the unrestrained bliss, energy and color of the season: a bouquet of vivid, sexy blooms… tulip, daffodil, violet, dewdrop, rhododendron, iris, daisy, and a mix of California wildflowers. Hee - flowers. In the imp I can not sort any one scent out, it's all a big jumble. On the skin I can get tulip and iris easy. And a bit of violet. And some others that could be just about anything. Not a bad scent. A little busy, but with that many notes you have to expect that. Not bad at all. Not sure if I'd like a 5ml of it, especially since I'd have to scavenge it off a resale since it was a Lunacy.

Hollywood Babylon (Wanderlust) - The essence of innocence shattered: glittering Egyptian amber and heliotrope, infused with the sweetness of strawberry and vanilla - dragged into debauch by lusty red musk and a dribble of black cherry. In the imp - there's the vanilla, oh and the strawberry, and OMG black cherry. To die for. On the skin - not so much. It's still nice, but not "Ohhh, lick me" nice. And now that I've typed that and have this odd mental picture in my head I think it's time to move on. Right, so... amber totally can pick out the amber and a bit of that lusty *snerk* musk. Oh, I am so going to a bad place right now.

Rose Cross (Sin & Salvation) - A profound symbol of an individual’s personal initiatic process, spiritual refinement and evolution, synthesis, grace found as a result of trial and suffering, and the alchemical process by which we transform the raw essence of our souls through light in extension. This is a holy oil, a representation of the triumph of spirit over matter: purest rose with sacred frankincense. Whoa - hey, you know what? I just discovered I hate frankincense. A lot. I thought I'd give it a go, just because so many other things change when you put them on. Yeah, it changed - to more frankincense. Oh, I'm sure there's rose in there somewhere, but what my nose gets is "GAH, make it stop, make the bad smell go away!" so this one is going in the no pile I'm afraid.

Titus Andronicus (Illyria) - Dark musk and black amber with frankincense, red sandalwood, neroli and bergamot. Oh, hello Generic Lemon-Scented Furniture Polish. What's that hint of... GAH, Damn Frankincense! Oh wait, it's fading... fading... back to Lemon Pledge which is rather odd as I'm not sure what note combination would equal Lemon Pledge - with just a hint of animal smell, probably the musk. Not a keeper here. Also? So much sneezing. Seriously.
