I was talking to a friend on-line last night when I got an e-mail notification that my SS/HG Exchange Prompts were here. Then, a bit later, hers came in. There was a bit of "Prompts are here!" flailing about and then it was time to brainstorm.
I'm pretty sure I've settled on which prompt I'm going to work on. I've discussed some options with BetaBeck (who does not write for the Exchange and is, therefore, safe to talk to) and I've got some ideas already, which is well ahead of schedule from where I was last exchange, so woot for that.
I've got some things to wrap up today (and possibly tomorrow) before I can sit down and really start writing, but I'm hoping to make some good progress before Captain comes home, because - as much as I miss and love him - I'm pretty sure that his homecoming and then our trip north to visit friends and his family is going to totally screw with my writing time.
I really, really, really do not want to ask for an extension this year (unlike every single other time I've written for the exchange *shameface*) if I can help it. Both the laptop and the desktop are still fairly new, I'm backing my work up on-line and on a thumbdrive and I will call someone up and dictate dialogue to them if I have to, damn it.
Joking.
Not really.
