Today... I figured out how to make the TV in the living room work! Channels AND the DVD Player AND the Wii even!

MissMiah, Super Genius.

Ignore the fact that it took me three months to even bother. Up until now I've only been watching the SyFy channel on the small bedroom TV because I was too lazy to find the cablebox remote and that was the channel the TV had been on when Captain left.

In other, also embarrassing, news - Last night I decided to stay up until five AM to watch a marathon of episodes of America's Next Top Model and to half-assedly keep Beck company online. So it should be of no surprise that I was still in bed at three this afternoon, when Captain's phone rang. It was a strange number, so I answered, expecting it to be a salesperson. Some guy said "Hello, Mrs Captain, this is Blargy Leblarge, how are you?"

Me, being me, and also just waking up, I said "I'm fine, may I ask why you're calling?" and Leblarge seemed a bit taken aback. He said he was just checking in to make sure I was fine, and that things were fine on my end and I seriously had no clue what the hell he was talking about at all. NONE.

Finally, I snapped. "I'm sorry, I don't know who you are."

And that's when he repeated his name, slower. "Captain Leblarge". As in my husband's CO.

"OHHHHHH, I'm sorry, I missed that the first time, now this makes much more sense."

*headdesk*

So, yes, I was completely rude to my husband's Company Commander, who was just checking in to make sure I was doing all right. I, of course, apologized, but I'm pretty sure he thinks I'm insane. And also that I sleep a lot.

Then he asked if I was coming to the FRG meeting, and I tried to explain that I have no clue where it's at because I just started driving again and I don't know where anything is on base and he insisted on giving me directions (although some of them were "Turn left at this light... no, wait, not there, go further past the library, then turn left, I think") but I doubt I'll be going out after dark, on base, to a location I may or may not be able to find. I suspect not.

Anywho...

I'm eating a turkey sammich for lunch, go me!
