First, my Greasemonkey add-ons randomly stopped working today and I had to scramble to remember my journal passwords. AGAIN.
Then, my word processor program and Windows 7 are having a spat and now I can't save new files. I finally found a way around that issue by copying an old file, renaming it and then copy and pasting the new text into it... but now it won't let me change the extension on the file. Which is important because this file will eventually be my SS/HG exchange fic and they do not accept .wpd files. I've never had a problem converting it to .txt before, but now it's refusing to allow me to Save As anything. At all.
For the moment, I can move the file from the desktop to my crappy-about-to-die-any-day laptop and convert the file there, but there is no reason why I should have to drag out my laptop just to save a friggin' file. And since it works on the laptop, I know it's WINDOWS FRIGGIN' 7 that is being the bastard in all this.
Captain suggested upgrading to Office 2003, but I hate Office. I hate Office (and, by extension, Open Office) with the passion of a thousand burning suns who are all going supernova. Hate.
I like Word Perfect, I've been using it for nearly a decade and I don't want to change, so there.
