When the exchange first started posting, I was doing pretty good with keeping up on reviewing AND working on other projects (it's pretty easy to read from the monitor while one slaps paint on a gnome, I'm just saying) in a non-guilt inducing multi-tasking sort of way. However, as I'm starting to get antsy about getting the last two parts (knock on wood, keeping fingers crossed I don't randomly decide it needs another scene like I've already done. Twice) of the pinch hit fic finished, I realize that if I sit down to read all 19 chapters (plus additional art) in one of the gifts alone, I'll have lost an entire evening and most of the next day (for additional sleeping times to make up for staying up until nine am again, I'm sure).

So, as much as I want to read the longer fics as they come up, I can't until I finish writing what I'm working on now. I'm still being naughty and sneaking in the shorter pieces during my "breaks". I've also set up a list to keep track of the fics I've had to temporarily skip, and the moment the last part hits my beta, you can count on my starting at the beginning of the list and catching up.

Seriously? I love gift posting time on the Exchange. It's like my birthday, but with less cake and gift-wrapping induced papercuts.
