A) Colonel Brandon's left wrist is hurt - not broken, but sore. We noticed he'd been walking sort of gimpy, not really noticeable, just a bit awkward in his gait. He put weight on it with no problem, and he could still run, and he wasn't trying to rip my head off if I touched the leg so I didn't have a clue what was wrong.

The groomer noticed that the leg was tender as well (probably because Brandon did try to rip their head off, but Brandon doesn't seem to like groomers in general so that wasn't saying a lot).

Anywho, Brandon's on pain pills and we're not supposed to make him run more than he wants to (hahaha, as if we can force the dog to do anything he doesn't feel like doing).

B) Have been having a Monster Movie Marathon. Walking Dead/Werewolves/Vampires for the win!

C) Have received my SS/HG exchange prompts. Have noticed several people on my flist who have already started their fics and are making remarkable progress. I? Have read my prompts.

*crickets*

Yeah. I'm not complaining about my prompts, I just haven't been struck by any brainstorms when I look at them. I've got one basic "well, I guess I could do something with that one, right?" idea, but I haven't gotten any farther than that. I know I've got two months to work on it, but I already feel like I'm behind.

D) I've volunteered for the MWR Haunted Trail and had to get myself "certified" as a food handler so I can hand out hot dogs and hamburgers. This is all part of my plan to present a good front as a "good Army wife" because Captain is considering OCS. Also, by volunteering and being involved in FRG stuff, I might actually be in the loop on information for the deployment this time.

E) I've been scheduling "play dates" every week so that I can socialize with someone who is not my husband (love him to bits, but... well, he's Captain). Once a week S comes over and we scrapbook and talk and gossip and sometimes go to Volde-mart or Hobby Lobby until the husbands get off work. It's nice to do something that isn't an RPG and doesn't involve listening to my husband breathe.
