The Fields are Burning

And I... have Reactive Airway Disorder - also known as teh Asthma.

Yes, the Army has decided to burn the fields across the highway, as is their right. Sadly, no one thought to inform the people on the other side of the highway (or at least, no one thought to mail me a letter or come to my door and give me a heads up) and I woke up with a headache to end all headaches and an elephant sitting on my chest. So I promptly used my inhaler and passed out once again, having no clue at the time what was going on.

Careful inspection told me the house itself was not on fire so when I went outside to find the dog I wasn't terribly surprised to see that the fields across the highway are on fire. I'm country enough to understand that burning is a quick and easy way to clear the dead grass so I'm not all pissy about it. I just wish I could breath.

Breathing would be nice.

Can't drive anywhere safe as I'm on restricted driving due to the Blood Sugar A Go Go wackiness, which already meant Thanksgiving alone since cptn_oblivious shall not return from Iraq for another two months (only two more months!) and now it means I suffer.

The next few days shall be hellish.
