Progress - or lack there of

132 words. Lovely. But at least I have a vague plot idea and at least one major character mostly fleshed out. Sort of.

In other news, I've managed to fubar my sleep schedule all to heck again. The night time is the right time, baby.

On the plus side, it's helped me channel vamp roman_sanguini on __lightning__. His true colors are finally starting to show and I'm really enjoying this chance to RP a selfish, evil character - even if he is just an NPC.

ETA: My brand new copy of the first season of War of the Worlds arrived on my doorstep - care of Severus Snape, Potions Master. Hee, Happy Birthday to me. Thanks, Alex.

Halloween Ranting

I wasn't going to bother saying anything but no one is on to RP today and my muse is being a bit of a bitch and not cooperating.

Therefore, I shall complain about my disappointment with last night's trick-or-treaters.

This is the first time in nearly a decade that I've had kiddos come to my house and then only twelve of them. Out of those twelve - one was a Gryffindor (sort of cute but there would have been a second handful of candy if he'd been Slytherin, just sayin'), one was a princess (in her winter coat, but it was cold and enough costume was sticking out that I got the idea) and five, FIVE, didn't even bother wearing a costume.

Five.

WTF?

Seriously, since when did it become okay to go from house to house with a garbage bag demanding candy and not even bothering to slap some mud on your face and pretend your one of the living dead? And these "kids" weren't even polite about it. "Gimme a Hershey" "Gimme" "Gimme". Erm... no.

Actually, I gave them a handful apiece anyway because I'm diabetic and love me some chocolate and I needed to get rid of the stuff so it wouldn't tempt me at two am. "Miah, come eat us.... we're tasty! Ohhhhh." Cause chocolate does that, you know.
