So, last night... got bit by a spider, spent the night in the emergency room. Got thirty minutes of sleep.
Went to work to find a clan war has broken out amongst the other people in my department. Did the managerial thing and stayed out of it.
Got a letter from DH telling me about ... push ups. Very loving letter reminding me about how much he loves and misses me... except, no, it wasn't.
Called his student loan people about getting his deferment now that he's in the military. Eh... no. A) I don't have power of attorney (yet, I'm working on that and should have that fixed by the end of the week) and B) any loan distributed after 1993 is not eligible for an armed forces deferment. Would have been nice to hear about that a bit sooner... like when DH was signing up for the Army, maybe?
First payment for one loan is due in six days. Called DH's recruiter to "discuss" this fact and the fact that DH has been in the Army for a week and I still haven't received a phone call in regards to my ID, insurance or his loans. Pointed out that loan is due in SIX DAYS. Also pointed out that I have $40 to my name until I receive DH's paycheck and that I have been informed that said paycheck has already had money taken out of it for Army things (without our prior knowledge or consent) because that's how the Army works. Was offered the phone number for Family Assistance - turned offer down and pointed out that I can make forty dollars work if I don't get any more unexpected expenses like LOAN PAYMENTS coming up in the next few days. Also, maybe it would be nice if someone returned my calls at least once instead of ignoring me because I AM STARTING TO GET ANNOYED!
See, the important thing here is that DH and I have been working on this loan crap for months and we kept hearing "Oh, you need to wait until this happens" or "Two more weeks and we can do that" and now he's in Basic and I can't talk to him or even write to him because I don't have an address.
So, no, F-ing loan companies, I can't have him fill out a form and send it to you. He's in the F-ing ARMY. How many times do I have to repeat myself?!
Cause I will hunt you down and hurt you, if you don't start returning my phone calls. All of you. This means you, too, Sgt. ButtNugget.
