Another Mandatory Fun Day

Up at seven thirty this morning so I could shave my legs, make a potato casserole and put on the thrice cursed makeup so I can play the role of the good little Army spouse at today's Mandatory Fun Day Picnic (Side Dish required, please).

Actually, the makeup wasn't so bad. I just picked up my first Bare Escentuals starter kits (foundation and everyday eyes) and spent last night watching the instructional DVD on the proper way to not look like a hooker, so that was fun.

Then I went and googled Bare Escentuals and realized that some people who obviously have not watched the instructional DVDs... should.

Although, it's makeup, not rocket science, so perhaps their color choices and clown lips were intentional?

Anywho, the timer has gone off and it's time to get the casserole out of the oven and run off for five to six hours of mandatory fun.

It was hot, I didn't eat and a crazed squirrel fell out of the nearby tree and then crawled under one of the chairs in our circle and died a slow and painful to watch death.

There was no fun.
