Some how, due to feats and things, I've managed to get a sixth level Ranger who can do five melee attacks a round - all with positive attack bonuses.

It's like doing calculus to work out the various modifiers. I had to write a cheat sheet with codes just to keep track of what attacks do which damage.

I giggled.

That reminds me of the game I'm currently playing. You know how most DMs like to keep the treasure and magic items sparse enough that the characters have to work pretty hard for them? My current DM basically tore the level progression guidelines out of her DMG because she doesn't really think the game gets interesting until you reach level 5. To speed things up, she sets us against much higher challenge ratings that are worth more XP, then tanks us up with treasure and magic items so we can keep up. The power level is so high that last week she totaled up the XP for one night, and we jumped four levels.
