It's not the fire.
Oh, God.
I can barely see, it's dark up here. I can hear things moving. Not them, not yet, but something up here in the dark with me.
The only light is from the laptop screen and some thin cracks in the insulation where they did such a crappy job repairing the siding after last year's big windstorm.
I had to leave the dog, I couldn't get him up here. I tried, but he's too big and I couldn't lift him. He's barking. I want to tell him to be quiet, but I can't.
I'm too scared to speak.
Please, if you're reading this, please come help me.
The cats are here, their kennels barely fit through the attic access, and they're complaining. Shhhh.
It came through the sliding glass door, my neighbor, but not. I knew that fucking door was going to be a problem. It just walked right through the glass like it was paper. The only warning I had was the dog, just enough time to get me out of the office and into the living room to see it stumble into the yard before it charged us.
Somehow, I don't know how, but somehow I ended up in the garage, I tripped over a pile of Captain's crap and nearly bit my tongue in half when my head hit the concrete. But that's when I saw the baseball bat. It came at me, the dog hanging off of one of its legs, biting at it. I swung as hard as I could and it just bounced off and my god my wrists hurt so bad but it was still coming and I swung again and again and again.
If there was one, there could be others. He had said they were coming.
How long until I lose the wireless connection? Until the battery on the laptop dies?
Why won't he call me back?
I'm so scared.
Some one is in the house, I can hear them moving arou
Why?
